Travel sports presents both a hindrance and an opportunity for harvest. As the number one growing trend in youth sports, travel ball has become the punchline of many jokes and sarcastic remarks around most of our churches. As most clubs meet on weekends, this has become a hindrance to most Sunday services. Whether we want to or not, parents have already made choices regarding attending church or sports. What if we channeled our resources to reaching the harvest in this area? We send mission groups all over the world to put on sports camps to try and reach people with the Gospel, but the biggest mission field may very well be in our very own backyard.
